 Wow - what a product! 2010-09-05 Over the years I've amassed thousands of slides; all they do is sit in files unlooked at (I sold my projectors ages ago. In the past I've experimented with transferring slide photos to PC with a dedicated scanner which cost a lot back years ago, but I gave up because the quality was so poor. I therefore decided to try this scanner - primarily for the same purpose, and admit to being somewhat apprehensive at the likely results. I need not have worried: this scanner is superb, easy to use (although it does only take four slides at a time and processes them in about 25 seconds each). It's all well worth the effort; the results are generally great and very similar on the PC screen to how they first appeared when projecting them. It's really great to be able to easily catch up on old photo memories again. Don't hestitate to buy this product - it's marvellous value for this purpose alone, never mind all it's other scanning facilities. (PS: You will gain enormously by having photo editing software of some sort to enhance (colour correct, crop, de-blemish etc) the original slides. | ||
| A Very Good Scanner 2010-09-05 This is a replacement for a scanner from another manufacturer. We had owned the previous scanner for a number of years and eventually the bulb started to give problems. We took a while checking out current offerings from all points of view and eventually settled on this one. We were very presently surprised by its ease of use, accuracy of reproduction and one touch capabilities. At the price it is a first rate item and is totally recommended. | ||
 New to Scanning 2010-08-31 Having wanted to buy a scanner but not knowing what kind I looked at other reviews and purchased this one. I have to say it was easy to set up, very easy to use and I thought very quick to scan. I am very impressed with this scanner and would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. | ||
| Superb 2010-08-29 I've just completed converting over 1,000 slides to digital images with the help of this product ... the result using 9,600 DPI resolution is stunning and my family are delighted. This a superb low-cost photo scanner and can be used with Linux which was an extra bonus for me. If anyone wishes to convert their slides and old film and is looking for a good machine to do the job, look no further! | ||
| Epson Perfection Scanner 2010-08-28 Bought this scanner to copy old negative slides on to my computer. Bit fiddly at first, but once you get the hang of it, it was easy. Takes about 2 minutes to transfer 4 negatives from a slide. There are several options to the quality of the output that you can make. Ovarall, this does exactly what I wanted. | ||
