Help 2009-12-16 I have recently received my Ipaq from Amazon, and although on delivery I was excited and couldnt wait to get it set up and running, It was all nice and shiney and new looking, a lovely purchase, my only problem is that there was no software in the box so i couldnt load it onto my laptop, there was no spare stylus which does not really bother me, but what does bother me is that it will charge on the dock or without the dock, and i charged it all day yesterday but the second i take it off charge, it wont turn on, then i put it back on charge and it tells me that the battery has been completely discharged and to fully charge to get the performance i require, but at the same time it looses all information i have entered and starts from the set up screen again, please can anybody help and tell me what i am doing wrong?
Compaq 2009-11-29 This product is a very good piece of technology and amazon was the only reasonably priced place i could find to buy one. i enjoy using as not just a pocket pc but an mp3 player as well. the only problem i found was working out what memory card it could recognise if anyone else is having this problem then it's 2gb. this item is OK 2008-03-13 This compaq pocket pc (H3970) is expansive and it has the 2002 software that isnt as good as the 2003 software. It has the bluetooth version 1 so that is slower than the versions you can get today. You cannot send files by bluetooth, only get them from another device. It has infared but it does take a long time to send things like pictures. Also setting a picture to a background isnt easy as with a big picture you will only get the corner of it. The PDA hasnt got the light built into the screen, it is on the right side of the screen and it shines onto it. This is good as you can see it outside even with the sun shining down. The stylus isnt good as if the PDA is upside down it will fall out easly. The sound with headphones isnt that good quality as it sounds like its in a tin can. I paid £55 on ebay and it is as good as new so if you are going to buy it consider ebay! but overall i would go and buy an Acer N30 when i done this review on the 13th March 2008 the acer was £50 and the stylus is better, it has the 2003 software and it is amazing!
Does exactly what it say's on the . . . 2008-01-05 I couldn`t fault this pda, easy to use from start up, except for two very minor glitches. The max. SD card you can put into as default is a 512MB (I tried a 2 GB SD card and came up with errors) It can't read large photo's as it says it runs out of memory, unless i have used exceptionally large files to open! Other than that i can`t complain.full marks, wonder why i didn`t get one before!
Awesome! 2007-09-10 Sure, there are smaller, faster, and lighter PDAs on the market now. Good for them. This one is the perfect combination of heft, size and ease-of-use. The screen is one the best I have seen, and it is nice 'n big. Any smaller than this, and the on-screen keyboard starts getting difficult to use. Plenty of oomph drives the programs along. Chunky enough to get a decent grip on when in use, compact (and flat) enough to slip into a jacket pocket with ease. The format is a popular Compaq/HP iPaq one, so there is a huge array of accessories available, too. A winner all around.
